Title:	Analytic version of Hirota-Sato theory on KdV equation

Abstract:	In 1980s Sato discovered a new method of solving the KdV equation based on an idea by Hirota. His theory is stated in terms of advanced linear algebra, which had been keeping mathematicians studying analysis at a distance. Although later Segal-Wilson gave an analytic interpretation of this theory, its influence to the world of analysis has been restrictive, because the class of initial data was very special. Recently I have been able to expand the class of initial data so that it can include many oscillating functions. In the talk I will how it was possible.
